Turizm ve çevrimiçi öğrenme konulu yayınların sistematik analizi

Uygulamalı eğitim ve öğretim içeriklerinin yer aldığı turizm eğitim alanı ile ilgili akademik araştırmalar, özellikle son yıllarda pandemi, olağandışı haller ve popüler eğitim modelleri sayesinde araştırmacıların ilgisini çekmiştir. Turizm eğitiminin çevrimiçi öğrenme sistemlerine entegre edilerek verilmesi özgün bir araştırma alanı olarak ele alınmıştır. Buna göre bu araştırmaların sistematik bir analizini ortaya koymak önem taşımakla birlikte araştırma alanlarında öncül ve özgün çalışmaların incelenmesine, araştırma sahasının mevcut durumunu ortaya konmasına ve geleceğe yönelik nitelikli araştırmalara ilişkin tahminlerde bulunulmasına imkân tanımaktadır. Bu çalışmada, turizmde çevrimiçi öğrenme konulu araştırmalar sistematik parametreler çerçevesinde incelemiştir. Araştırma evrenini turizm ve çevrimiçi öğrenme konularında yayınlanmış tüm araştırmalar oluşturmaktadır. Ancak, veriler, web of science veri tabanında yer alan araştırmalarla sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında web of science veri tabanında “turizm”, “çevrimiçi öğrenme” kavramları ile arama yapılarak 207 makaleye erişilmiştir.

Systematic analysis of publications on tourism and online learning

Academic research in the field of tourism education, which includes applied education and training content, has attracted the attention of researchers, especially in recent years, thanks to pandemics, extraordinary situations, and popular education models. The provision of tourism education through its incorporation into online learning platforms has been regarded as a novel study area. Accordingly, it is important to present a systematic analysis of these studies, and it also allows the examination of pioneering and original studies in research areas, revealing the current situation of the research area and making predictions about qualified research for the future. In this study, the framework of systematic parameters has been used to assess studies on online learning in the field of tourism. All previously published studies on online learning and tourism make up the research population. The data, however, is restricted to studies that are listed in the Web of Science database. Within the scope of the research, 207 articles were accessed by searching the Web of Science database with the concepts of "tourism" and "online learning". These articles were analysed according to criteria such as year, journal, keyword work type, and title. According to the findings, the most articles on tourism and online learning were published in 2022 and in the Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism Education. Suggestions for future research topics have been developed for the findings obtained.
