Bölümlendirme (segmentasyon), verilerin benzer özelliklerine göre homojen alt gruplara bölünmesidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Anadolu Üniversitesi Açıköğretim Sistemine kayıtlı öğrenenleri benzerlik ve farklılıklarına göre kümelere ayırmaktır. Yapılacak bölümlendirme ile öğrenenlerin özelliklerine uygun hizmet sunulması için bir bilgi altyapısı elde edilmiş olacaktır. Yüksek lisans tezi kapsamında yürütülecek olan bu çalışmada, her gruba uygun olan hizmet, yaklaşım ve ulaşma yöntemlerini önermek, böylece kurumun idari, akademik ve destek hizmetlerine yönelik kararları almasını kolaylaştırmak, hizmetlerin bu grupların özelliklerine göre farklılaştırılması ve tasarlanmasına destek olmak hedeflenmektedir.

Segmentation means dividing the data into homogenous sub-groups with respect to their similar characteristics. The objective ofthis study is to divide the learners who are enrolled to Anadolu University Open Education System into clusters with respect totheir similarities and differences. With this segmentation we aim to establish an information infrastructure to provide services thatare compatible with learners’ characteristics. In this study, carried out within the scope of a master’s thesis, our objectives are torecommend services, approaches and access methods appropriate to each group, and in this way to make it easier for the institutionto take administrative, academic and support service related decisions, and to support initiatives for differentiation and designingof services with respect to the characteristics of these groups
