Post Polio Sendromu: Olgu Sunumu

Post-poliomyelit sendromu PPS polio virüsünün neden olduğu ilk akut atak sonrasında kurtulan hastalarda yıllar sonra görülen anormal yorgunluk, güçsüzlük ve musküler atrofi şikayetleri ile kendini gösteren nadir bir durumdur. Bu olgu sunumunda böbrek taşı şüphesi ile bilgisayarlı tomografi uygulanan hastada saptanan post- poliomyelit sendromuna bağlı değişiklikler literatür bilgileri eşliğinde tartışılmıştır. Olgumuzda bilgisayarlı tomografi incelemesinde solda pelvik kaslarda yaygın atrofi saptandı

POST POLIO SYNDROME: CASE REPORT

Post-poliomyelit syndrome PPS is a rare condition that presents with complaints of abnormal fatigue, weakness and muscular atrophy years after a prior initial attack of poliovirus. In this case report, patient with a suspected urinary tract stone was evaluated with computerized tomography imaging and diagnosed as post-poliomyelit syndrome and it was discussed in the light of the related literature. The computerized tomography indicated pelvic diffuse muscle atrophy in the left sided muscles
