Özel Gereksinimi Olan Bir Hasta Grubu: Down Sendromlu Çocuklar ve Perioperatif Hemşirelik Yaklaşımları

Down sendromlu çocuklar diğer sağlıklı çocuklar ile karşılaştırıldığında kendilerine özgü fiziksel, fizyolojik ve psikolojik gereksinimlerindeki farklılıklar nedeniyle perioperatif dönem bakımı daha dikkatli hemşirelik yaklaşımı gerektirir. Bu bağlamda hemşirelik bakımının uygun bir şekilde yönetilmesi için, içinde bulunulan hastalık ve eşlik eden durumlar ile ilgili yeterli temel bilgilerin bilinmesi önemlidir. Makalede down sendromlu çocuk hastalarda ameliyat öncesi, sırası ve sonrası dönemde yapılacak olan hemşirelik yaklaşımları güncel literatürler eşliğinde tartışılmıştır

A Patient With Special Needs Group: Pediatric Patient With Down Syndrome and Perioperative Nursing Approaches

children with Down syndrome compared with other healthy children in peculiar physical, physiological and psychological needs because of differences, nursing care requires careful approach in perioperative period. Therefore, this condition is important that perioperative nurses acquire a comprehensive knowledge base regarding coexisting conditions to properly manage care of this patient populations. in this article, perioperative nursing approaches for pediatric patients with Down syndrome are discussed with regard to the recent literatures
