SİNEMADA NOSTALJİ: LA BELLE EPOQUE FİLMİ ÜZERİNE BİR OKUMA PRATİĞİ

Nostalji kavramı ilk başta tıp alanına ait bir terimken, daha sonra yapı bozuma uğrayarak hastalık tanımından çıkmıştır. Bugün hastalık olarak tanımlanmayan bu kavram, geçmişteki çocukluk ve gençlik çağlarına özlem duyan, yaşadığı mekânları ve geçmişteki dönemleri özleyen insanları tanımlamak için kullanılmıştır. Sinema ve nostalji arasında yakın bir ilişki göze çarpmaktadır. Özellikle bilim kurgu filmleriyle insanlara zamanda yolculuk yaptıran nostaljik filmler, insanların geçmişe olan özlem duygusunu bir nevi tatmin etmektedir. Bu çalışmada nostalji kavramının ve sinema ile nostalji arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma nitel bir çalışma olup, kavram bağlamında La Belle Epoque (Yeni Baştan) filmi betimsel analiz yöntemine göre analiz edilecektir. Nostaljiyi tanımlamak için kavram içerisinde dile getirilen birçok durumun filme yansıdığı sonucuna ulaşılmış, nostaljik film olarak adlandırabileceğimiz filmler oluşturulurken nostalji kavramından yararlanıldığı görülmüştür.

NOSTALGIA IN CINEMA: A READING PRACTICE ON THE LA BELLA EPOQUE FILM

Nostalgia concept, which is not defined as a disease today, has been used to describe people who longed for childhood and adolescence in the past. There is also a close relationship between cinema and nostalgia. Especially nostalgic movies in the science fiction genre that make people travel through time and satisfy people's longing for the past. This study will focus on the concept of nostalgia and the relationship between cinema and nostalgia. In the context of the concept, the La Bella Epoque movie will be analyzed according to the descriptive analysis method. It was concluded that many situations expressed in order to define nostalgia were reflected in the film, and it was observed that the concept of nostalgia was used when creating films that we can call nostalgic films.
