The article discusses the journalistic activities of Kazakh journalists Kolbay Togysov and Nazipa Kulzhanova at the beginning of the twentieth century. If the early journalistic activities of publicists of the first stage of creativity (while working in the newspaper “Alash”, in reports from “hot spots”), as well as during the October Revolution, have been extensively studied, their late journalism has not yet been sufficiently understood and studied. In addition, the difficult and controversial period in the work of publicists in 1912-1915 faced various obstacles. The article draws attention to these important issues later journalism Togysov and Kulzhanova.
