Bulgular:Çalışmaya katılan hastaların %45'i erkek, %54'ü kadındı ve yaş ortalaması 39,32±18,71 idi. Supernümere dişleri olan 163 hasta vardı (%0,056). Süpernumer dişler için erkek / kadın oranı 1,33:1 idi. Erkeklerde kadınlardan anlamlı derecede daha fazla bulundu (p
Supernumerary teeth, how often do we meet them? A pilot retrospective and radiographical study
Aim:The aim of this study is to evaluate the frequency and clinic charecteristics of patients with supernumerary teeth by examining each patient’s panoramic radiography. Materials and Methods:A total of 30066 panoramic radiographies of the University Dental Hospital patients were included in the study. Each patient was classified according to the quantities, dentition characteristics, locations, and morphologies for their supernumerary teeth. Demographic data of the patients were also recorded. Results:Of the patients participated in the study, 45% were male and 54% were female, with the mean age of 39.32±18.71. There were 163 patients with supernumerary teeth (0.056%). Male/female ratio for supernumere teeth was 1.33:1. Males were significantly more than in females (p
