Kalsiyum hidroksitin ultrasonik altivasyonunun kanal içi kırık eğe varlığında periapikal pH üzerindeki etkisinin değerlendirilmesi

Amaç: Kök kanalında farklı konikliğe sahip kırık eğelerin varlığında, kanal içi ilaç olarak yerleştirilen kalsiyum hidroksitin (KH) ultrasonik (US) olarak aktive edilmesi ile periapikal dokularda meydana gelen pH değişiminin değerlendirilmesi.Gereç ve Yöntem: 80 adet diş, apikal üçlüde kırılan 4 mm uzunluğundaki eğelerin konikliğine ve KH çözeltisinin yerleştirilme yöntemine göre 8 gruba ayrılmıştır (n=10); Grup 1L (#25, 0.02 + Lentülo), Grup 1U (#25, 0.02 + US), Grup 2L (#25, 0.04 + Lentülo), Grup 2U (#25, 0.04 + US), Grup 3L (#25, 0.06 + Lentülo), Grup 3U (#25, 0.06 + US), Grup 4L (#25, 0.08 + Lentülo), Grup 4U (#25, 0.08 + US). Örnekler distile su içeren tüplere atılmıştır. 1 saat, 1, 2, 7, 14 ve 30 gün sonra pH ölçümleri yapılmıştır.Bulgular: Lentülo grupları kendi aralarında karşılaştırıldığında 1 saat ölçümlerinde fark bulunmamasına rağmen, diğer ölçüm zamanlarında kırık eğenin konikliğinin artması ile pH belirgin artmıştır [G3L (.06) > G1L(.02), G4L (.08) > G1L (.02) ve G2L (.04); P G1U(.02) ve G2U(.04); PG1L, G2U>G2L, G3U>G3L, G4U>G4L; P

The effect of ultrasonic activation of calcium hydroxide on periapical pH in the presence separated instruments

Aim: To evaluate the effect of ultrasonic (US) activation of calcium hydroxide (CH) as intracanal medicament on periapical pH levels in the presence of separated instruments with differents tapers. Materials and Methods: 80 teeth were divided into 8 experimental groups according to the taper of separated instruments and placement technique of CH; Grup 1L (#25, 0.02 + Lentulo), Grup 1U (#25, 0.02 + US), Grup 2L (#25, 0.04 + Lentulo), Grup 2U (#25, 0.04 + Ultrasonic), Grup 3L (#25, 0.06 + Lentulo), Grup 3U (#25, 0.06 + US), Grup 4L (#25, 0.08 + Lentulo), Grup 4U (#25, 0.08 + US). Teeth were placed in containers with deionized distilled water. After 1h and 1, 2, 7, 15, and 30 days, pH of the solution was measured. Results: Although there was no difference between lentulo groups at 1-hour measurements, pH increased significantly with the increase of instrument taper at other measurement times. [G3L (.06)> G1L(.02), G4L (.08)> G1L (.02) and G2L (.04); P G1B(.02) and G2B(.04); PG1L, G2U>G2L, G3U>G3L, G4U>G4L; P
