Kliniğimizde izlediğimiz insüline bağımlı diyabetes mellitus'lu olguların irdelenmesi

Özet: Son yıllarda diabetin ortaya çıkmasını kolaylaştıran çevresel faktörler giderek önem kazanmakta ve bu faktörlerin belirlenmesi için epidemiyolojik çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, 1993-2001 yılları arasında kliniğimiz çocuk dahiliye servisinde yaşları 1,5-15 arasında değişen ve IDDM nedeniyle takip ettiğimiz 34. hastanın yaş, cinsiyet, mevsimsel ve bölgesel dağılım, ketoasidoz ile gelenler, reguler insülinden kristalize insuline geçiş zamanı, taburcu olurken insulin dozları retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi.

Because of the triggering factors of IDDM are not known yet, many researches about epidemiological data have been done. 34 pediatric patients hospitalized with the diagnosis of IDDM between 1993-2001 in Zeynep Kamil Women and Children's Hospital, Department of Pediatrics were evaluated retrospectively with respect of age, sex, seasonal and regional variations, ketoacidosis at admittance, the time of switch to combined intermediate and short-acting insulin than regular insulin, daily insulin units per kilogram of body weight [IU/kg/d] at home.
