Düşük doğum ağırlıklı bebek etiyolojisindeki obstetrik risk faktörleri

Amaç: Bu çalışma ile düşük doğum ağırlığına neden olan sosyokültürel ve sosyoekonomik yönü ağırlıklı obstetrik risk faktörlerinin pediatrist bakış açısıyla gözden geçirilmesi planlandı. Materyal ve metod: Kasım 2000-Mayıs 2001 tarihleri arasında hastanemizde canlı doğan.5000 bebek prospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Doğum ağırlığı 2500 gramdan küçük olan bebekler çalışma grubunu (DDA) oluşturken aynı sayıdaki normal doğum ağırlıklı (>2500g) bebekler kontrol grubunu oluşturdu. DDA'lı doğuma etki eden anneye ait faktörler, doğum öncesi ağırlık artışı, parite, antenatal bakım, önceki gebelikteki sorunlar sorgulandı ve kaydedildi. İkiz gebelikler çalışma dışında bırakıldı. Obstetric risk factors in the etiology of low birth weight newborns

Objective: Through this study, we aimed to review some of obstetric risk factors based on especially sociocultural and socioeconomical status that causes low birthweight (LBW)from the pediatrician's point of view. Material and methods: 5000 live born babies were evaluated prospectively between October 2000-May 2001 in our hospital. Infants with birthweight below 2500g defined as LBW infant and they formed the study group. They were compared with the same number of normal birthweight (2500g) infants forming the control group. Maternal factors that have effects on birthweight, maternal weight gain before birth, antenatal care were noted. Multiple gestations were excluded from the study.
