Effect of potassium fertilization on cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) seedling growth and changes of some nutrient contents under salt stress

In this study it was aimed to investigate the seedling growth and the nutrient chances in cucumber with different K doses under salt stress. For this purpose, 4 levels of salt (0,10,20 and 30 mmol NaCl) and 4 levels of potassium (0,75,150 and 300 mg K $kg^{-1}$ ) were applied to the growing media. At the end of the study, it was seen that increasing amount of salt and K applications negatively affected seedling dry weight. High salinity caused an increasement in Na, Ca, Mn, Cu and Fe contents of plant but plant K and P contents decreased with salinity. Depending on increasing K applications plant K, Zn, Mn, Cu and Fe concentrations increased, however Na, Ca, Mg and P concentrations decreased.
