Burdur Yöresindeki Gastroenteritisli Köpeklerde Canine Parvovirus Enfeksiyonunun Virolojik Araştırılması
Bu çalışmada Burdur yöresinde yavru köpeklerde dehidrasyon, şiddetli hemorajik ishal, kusma, myokarditis ve yüksek ateşle seyreden canine parvovirus (CPV) enfeksiyonu virolojik olarak araştırıldı. Bu amaçla sahipli veya Burdur Belediyesi hayvan barınağında bulunan yaşları 1-11 ay arasında değişen farklı ırk ve cinsiyette, söz konusu enfeksiyona karşı daha önce aşılanmamış ishal, ateş ve halsizlik gibi farklı klinik semptomlar gösteren 117 adet köpek yavrusundan dışkı örneği toplandı. Örneklerin double antibody sandwich ELISA (DAS-ELISA) yöntemi kullanılarak değerlendirilmesi sonucunda, %3.42’sinde (4/117) canine parvovirus antijeni tespit edildi. Antijen pozitiflik oranlarının cinsiyete göre dağılımı ise erkekler ve dişilerde sırası ile %8.82 (3/34), %1.20 (1/83) bulundu. Bu araştırma, Burdur yöresinde CPV enfeksiyonunun prevalansını düşük düzeyde de olsa ortaya koymuştur.
