Financial literacy of university students: A case study for Anadolu University, Turkey
Finansal okuryazarlık düzeyi toplumun dinamik bir kesimi olarak geleceği temsil edenüniversite öğrencileri için çok önemlidir. Finansal Okuryazarlık okullardaki eğitim programlarıle kazanılabilen yaşamsal bir yetenektir. Bu ifadenin geçerliliğinin araştırılması amacıyladiğer üniversite fakültelerine göre daha çok fnansal kavram ve tekniklere maruz kalan iktisadie idari bilimler fakültesi öğrencilerinden bir örneklem seçilmiştir.Üniversite öğrencilerininfnansal okuryazarlık düzeyinin ölçülmesinde OECD fnansal okuryazarlık ölçeğinin Türkiyekoşullarına uyarlanması ile tasarlanan ölçek kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göreöğrencilerin fnansal okuryazarlığı yüksek olarak belirlenmiştir.

The level of fnancial literacy is crucial for university students who represent the futureas a dynamic segment of the society. Financial literacy is a vital ability, which can be obtainedthrough educational programs in schools. To investigate the validity of this statement, a sampleis selected from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences students, who areexposed to fnancial concepts and techniques more than any other university faculty students.The fnancial literacy of university students was measured through a scale, which was designedby adapting OECD fnancial literacy scale to the conditions of Turkey. According to the fndingsof the research, the fnancial literacy of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciencesstudents is high.
