Southeast asia region in analyses of ınternational terrorism

Despite the fact that Southeast Asia sub-region has been home to in- ternational terrorist organizations for many years, it has become a subject of examination with the war the US waged against Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations associated with it, in the aftermath of 9/11. In Southeast Asia sub-region, which hosts various ethnic and religious identities, terrorist organizations differ in terms of their reason of foundation. This paper looks into regional organizations which have the common motive of founding and ruling an ‘Islamic State’ and are in moral and material contact with Al-Qaeda.
