This study investigates the relationship between inflation and capacity utilization rates by using the quarterly data set for 1991- 2008 period in Turkish economy. The main aim of this study is to determine an optimal capacity utilization rate that does not accelerate the inflation for Turkish economy. In addition, it is asserted whether the change in Turkish economy post 2002 has any effects on this relationship. The main finding of this study is that the optimal capacity utilization level has risen for post 2002 period in Turkey.
