Fen ve teknoloji dersi öğretmenlerinin "canlılarda üreme ve gelişme" konusu hakkındaki görüşleri

Bu çalışmada, 2000 tarih ve 2518 sayılı MEB Tebliğler Dergisinde yayınlanan Fen Bilgisi Öğretim Programı'nda yer alan "Canlılarda Üreme ve Gelişme" ünitesinin öğretimine ilişkin öğretmen görüşleri değerlendirilmiştir. Öğretmenlere ünite hakkındaki görüşleri sorulmuş ve ünitede kullandıkları yöntem, teknik ve materyallerin neler olduğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca, çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlar, 2004 programı için öğretmen görüşlerini belirlemeye yönelik olarak yapılan çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçlar ile karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Çalışmada öğretmenlerin görüşlerini almada tarama modelinden yararlanılmış ve Bursa Merkez İlçelerinde görev yapan toplam 97 fen bilgisi öğretmenine iki bölüm ve 27 sorudan oluşan bir anket uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular frekans ve yüzde hesaplamaları yapılarak yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan fen bilgisi öğretmenleri ünitenin dil ve anlatımı, ilgi çekiciliği, görsel materyaller, örneklerin niteliği konusunda olumlu görüş bildirirken; yeni geliştirilecek olan öğretim programlarında daha etkili ve daha fazla günlük hayat örneklerine, değerlendirme sorularına, çalışma yapraklarına, görsel materyallere, yöntem ve tekniklere yer verilmesi noktasında ortak görüş bildirmişlerdir. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin ünitede daha çok tartışma yöntemini, beyin fırtınası, soru-cevap tekniklerini, ders kitabı, tepegöz gibi materyalleri kullandıkları belirlenmiştir.

The views of science and technology teachers on "reproduction and growth in living organisms" subject

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the views of teachers regarding teaching "Reproduction and Growth in Living Organisms" unit, which is included in Science Education Curriculum that was published in MEB Journal of Notifications in 2000 with the number of 2518. The teachers were asked about their opinions of the unit so that the methods, techniques and materials they used would be identified. The results of this study were compared to the results of the studies which were conducted to examine teacher views regarding 2004 curriculum. Survey model was utilized to get the teacher views and a questionnaire consisting of two parts and 27 questions was conducted on 97 Science teachers working in Bursa central towns. The findings were interpreted with frequency and percentage measures. The Science teachers who participated in the study stated positive things about the language and wording, attractiveness, visual materials and quality of the examples of the unit. On the other hand, they suggested including more effective and more daily life examples, more evaluation questions, worksheets, visual materials, methods and techniques in the curriculum that will be developed in the near future. Furthermore, it was seen that the teachers mostly used techniques such as discussion, brain storming, question-answer and materials such as coursebook and overhead projector while teaching this unit.
