Bu çalışmada Şereflikoçhisar GD'sunda yer alan Asmayaylası köyü kuzeyinde gözlenen Asmaboğazı Formasyonu'nda şizogoni tip çoğalma sırasında fosilleşmiş, kavkının kenarına yakın farklı iki bölümde çok sayıda makrosferik embriyon içeren Orbitoides apicülatus Schlumberger ferdi tanıtılmaktadır. 22 adet ve farklı konumlarda makrosferik embriyon içeren bu örnek, Türkiye'nin diğer bölgelerinde, bilinen Orbitoides türlerinde rastlanıldığı gibi, bu yörede de sığ denizel fasiyesi simgeleyen zengin orbitoidal foraminifer topluluğunda şizogoni tip çoğalmanın varolduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.

In this study, a microspheric individual of Orbitoides apicülatus Schlumberger having a large number of megalospheric embryos near the both peripheries of the test fossilised in the period of schizogony from the Asmaboğazı Formation outcropping around the north of the Asmayaylası Village (Southeast of Şereflikoçhisar-Central Anatolia) is described. The individual including 22 megalospheric embryos in different positions also brings out existence of schizogonic type reproduction in rich orbitoidalforaminifera community indicating shallow water paleoenvironments as seen in the examples of Orbitoides species in various regions of Turkey.
