Bu makale, Rûhu’l-meânî adlı Kur’an-ı Kerim tefsirinin müellifi Mahmûd Şihâbuddin el-Âlûsî’nin hayatı, eserleri ve tefsirini ele alan bir çalışmadır. Bu araştırmada Müfessir Âlûsî’nin ilmi kişiliği ele alınmış, eserinin tefsir literatüründeki yeri ve kendisinden sonraki eserlere kaynaklık edebilecek seviyede olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Rûhu’l-meânî’nin çok yönlü ansiklopedik bir tefsir olma özelliği taşıdığı ifade edilmiştir.

This article is an introduction of in this study I have tried to introduce the life, interpretation and of Mahmud Şihabuddin el-Âlûsî who is the author of Rûh al-meânî that is an interpretation of the Qur’an. In this research the scientific personality of author Âlûsî has been exhibited. His work has an important place in the literature of interpretation. İt has been stated that in the interpretation can be source fort he Works after itself. It is painted out that Rûhu’l-Meânî interpretation is encyclopediacal. Work which has wealth contents.
