Modern Turkish Literature in German Sources: Otto Hachtmann and Die türkische literatur des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts(Turkish Literature in 20th Century)

Relationships regarding literature between the German and Turkish societies, who have been in close economic, military and political relationships throughout history, have been weak most of the time. Especially compared to the French this relationship has generally been weak. Inspite of this, it is a fact that the role played by the German in Turkology is considerably high. Paul Horn, Otto Hachtmann, Martin Hartmann, Theodor Menzel, Otto Spies are just some of those. These authors served Turkology cosinderably with their works especially in Modern Turkish Literature.
