Evaluating the Element Contents of Durum Wheat LandracesPure Lines in Çanakkale Conditions

Wheat landraces are often utilized in breeding programsfor their potential to improve the grain qualityof new varieties. Our goal is to evaluate thousand kernel weights (TKW), percentages of the yellowberry kernels (PYK), B, Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, P, S and Zn contents of 25 landracesderived durum wheat pure lines collected from the fauna of Turkeyto identify promising candidates.Field trials were conducted in Çanakkale in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 growing seasons and element contents of pure lineswere determined by using ICP-OES.
