Atak-S Horozlarında Farklı Barındırma Sistemlerinin Bazı Morfolojik Özellikler ve Asimetri Üzerine Etkisi

Bu araştırma, Atak-S horozlarında morfolojik özellikler üzerine kapalı ve serbest gezinmeli barındırma sisteminin etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Hayvanlar on yedi haftalık süre boyunca standart yem ve yemleme programı ile beslenmiştir. Barındırma sisteminin bazı morfolojik özellikler ve asimetri üzerine etkisini belirmek amacıyla, horozların baş kısmında bilateral olanlarda sağ ve sollu olmak üzere İbik uzunluğu (İU), İbik genişliği (İG), Göz genişliği (GG), Burun uzunluğu (BU), Yüz genişliği (YG), Sakal uzunluğu (SU), Gaga uzunluğu (GU) ölçümleri yapılmıştır. Ayaklarda ise sağ ve sollu olmak üzere Eklem Genişliği (EG), Tarsometatarsus uzunluğu (TU), Mahmuzun 1 cm yukarısında tarsometatarsus genişliği (MG1), Mahmuz seviyesinde tarsometatarsus genişliği (MG2), Arka parmak uzunluğu (AP), Dış parmak tırnak uzunluğu (DT), Dış Parmak 4. Phalanks uzunluğu (D4), Dış Parmak 3. Phalanks uzunluğu (D3), Orta parmak tırnak uzunluğu (OT), Orta Parmak 4. Phalanks uzunluğu (O4), Orta Parmak 3. Phalanks uzunluğu (O3) gibi morfolojik özelliklere ilişkin ölçümler alınmıştır. Tüm ölçümler dijital kumpas kullanılarak milimetrik (0,01 mm) yapılmıştır. Çift taraflı simetri gösteren özelliklerde göreceli asimetri (GA) ve dalgalı asimetri (DA) değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler üzerine yapılan istatistik analizlere göre, ATAK-S horozlarının morfolojik özelliklerinin barındırma sisteminden etkilenmediği, her iki barındırma koşullarında, üzerinde durulan karakterlerin sağ ve sol olmak üzere aynı şekilde geliştiği sonucuna varılmıştır

The Effect of Different Production Systems on Some Morphological Characteristics and Asymmetry in Atak-S Cocks

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of housing system on morphological characteristicsof Atak-S cocks reared in closed and free range systems. Cocks were fed with standard feed accordingto feeding program for seventeen weeks. In order to determine the effect of the housing system onsome morphological features and asymmetry, Crest length (İU), Crest width (İG), Eye width (GG),Nose length (BU), Face width (YG), Wattle length (SU), Beak length (GU) in bilateral features, measurements were made from the right and left sides on the head of the cocks. Furthermore, footfeatures such as Width of tarsometatarsus at the joint with tibiotarsus (EG), Length of tarsometatarsus(TU), Width at 1 cm above the spur of tarsometatarsus (MG1), Width of tarsometatarsus at the spur(MG2), Length of the back toe (AP), Length of the outer toe nail (DT), Length of the fourth phalanxof the outer toe (D4), Length of the third phalanx of the outer toe (D3), Length of the mid toe nail(OT), Length of the fourth phalanx of the mid toe (O4), Length of the third phalanx of the mid toe(O3) measurements were taken on the right and left feet of the cocks. All measurements were madein millimetres (0.01 mm) using a digital caliper. Relative asymmetry (GA) and fluctuating asymmetry(DA) values were calculated for the features showing bilateral symmetry. According to the statisticalanalysis on the obtained data, the morphological characteristics of ATAK-S cocks were not affectedby the housing system, and that the characters underlined in both housing conditions developed in thesame way as right and left.
