Sağlıklı Genç Yetişkinlerde Akut Tükenme Egzersizinin Dolaşımdaki İrisin Konsantrasyonları Üzerine Etkileri

Yakın zamanda iskelet kas dokusundan salgılandığı tespit edilen irisin, enerji tüketimini artırarak, metabolizmayı etkileyen miyositler tarafından salgılanan yeni bir hormondur. Bu araştırmanın amacı genç yetişkinlerde akut egzersizinin irisin düzeylerine etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmaya 20-25 yaş aralığında düzenli olarak egzersiz yapmayan sağlıklı 13 gönüllü erkek katılmıştır. Akut egzersiz öncesi katılımcıların boy uzunluğu ve vücut ağırlığı ölçülerek vücut kütle indeksi, skinfold kaliper kullanılarak vücut yağ yüzdesi hesaplanmıştır. Gönüllülerin akut tükenme egzersizi öncesi ve sonrasında kan örnekleri alınarak plazmaları kazanılmış ve irisin hormon analizleri Enzyme-Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELİSA) yöntemiyle tespit edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 16.0 istatistik paket program kullanılmıştır.

Effects of Acute Exhaustion Exercise on Circulating Irisin Concentrations in Healthy Young Adults

The irisin, which has recently been detected to be secreted from skeletal muscle tissue, is a new hormone secreted by myocytes that affect metabolism by increasing energy consumption. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of acute exhaustion exercise on irisin levels in young adults. Thirteen healthy volunteers who did not exercise regularly between the ages of 20-25 participated in the study. Body mass index was calculated by measuring the height and body weight of the participants and the body fat percentage using the skinfold caliper. Blood samples were obtained before and after acute exhaustion exercise from volunteers and their plasma was obtained and irisin hormone analyzes were determined by Enzyme-Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA) method. SPSS 16.0 statistical software package was used for analyzing the data. Average and standard deviations of the data were calculated and paried sample t-test was used in independent groups. In the research, the level of significance was accepted as 0.05. As a result of the study, it was determined that irisin levels, whose rest level was 29.34 ± 4.18 ng / ml, decreased to 28.45 ± 3.73 ng / ml after acute exhaustion exercise, but this was not statistically significant (p> 0.05). As a result, it was concluded that acute exhaustion exercise does not affect the hormone levels of irisin in young adults.
