Çalışma Durumları Farklı Üç Grup Kadında Ruh Sağlığı, Kontrol Odağı İnancı ve Cinsiyet Rolü

Bu araştırmada kendi ürününü pazarda satan, maaşlı bir işte çalışan ve evhanımı olan kadınlar; ruh sağlığı, kontrol odağı inancı ve cinsiyet rolü bakımından karşılaştırılmış ve bu değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir. Aynca yaş, eğitim düzeyi, medeni durum, çocukların yaş ortalaması, kontrol odağı inancı ve cinsiyet rolünün kadınların ruh sağlığının yordanmasına katkılarına da bakılmıştır. Toplam 255 kadından, Kısa Semptom Envanteri, Rotter'ın İç Dış Kontrol Odağı Ölçeği ve Bern Cinsiyet Rolü Envanteri ile veri toplanmıştır. Pazarda ürününü satan kadınların ev hanımlarından ve çalışan kadınlardan daha çok psikopatolojik belirti gösterdikleri ve bu belirtilerin de çalışan kadınlara göre daha ciddi düzeyde olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Üç grup kadın arasında kontrol odağı inancı bakımından yapılan karşılaştırmada, pazarcı kadınların ev hanımlarından daha düşük kontrol odağı inancı puanları olduğu, cinsiyet rolleri açsından aralarında fark olmadığı bulunmuştur. Aynca ruh sağlığı, kontrol odağı inancı ve cinsiyet rolleri arasında ilişkiler olduğu bulunmuştur.
