Yenidoğanda yüksek hızda titreşimli ventilasyon: üç yıllık deneyimlerimiz

Amaç: Bu çalışmada son üç yılda yüksek hızda titreşimli ventilasyon (High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation, HFOV) uygulanan bebeklerde HFOV uygulamasının nedenlerinin, uygulama sırasında karşılaşılan sorunların ve HFOV’nin etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Mersin Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Yenidoğan Yoğun Bakım Birimi’nde Ocak 2008 ile Aralık 2010 yılları arasında HFOV uygulanan 40 bebeğin kayıtları geriye dönük olarak incelendi. HFOV uygulamasının dördüncü saatinden önce ölen bebekler çalışma dışı bırakıldı. Geleneksel yöntemlerle uygulanan mekanik ventilasyon modları, ventilasyon süreleri, bu süreçteki komplikasyonlar, HFOV uygulamaya geçişteki nedenler, HFOV uygulaması sürecindeki kan gazları ve uygulamada yapılan değişiklikler kaydedildi. High-frequency oscillatory ventilation in newborn: three years of experience

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the indications, effectiveness and complications of high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) in infants who were ventilated with HFOV in the last three years. Material and Method: The study was conducted in the neonatal intensive care unit of Mersin University Hospital. Medical files of 40 infants who were ventilated by HFOV between January 2008 and December 2010 were evaluated retrospectively. The babies who died within the first four hours of HFOV were excluded. Conventional mechanical ventilation modes, duration of ventilation, complications, indications for HFOV, blood gases and changes in ventilator settings during HFOV were recorded.
