Üriner sistem enfeksiyonlarından izole edilen escherıchıa colı suşlarının siprofloksasin ve diğer antibiyotiklere karşı duyarlılıklarının karşılaştırılması
Amaç: Escherichia coli, üriner sistem enfeksiyonlarının % 90’ına neden olmaktadır.Erişkinlerde üriner sistem enfeksiyonlarının ampirik tedavisinde, sıklıkla siprofoksasintedavisi tercih edilmektedir. Bu antibiyotiğin kullanımındaki artış bakterilerde buantibiyotiğe karşı direnç oranında artışa neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada idrar kültürlerindenizole edilen E. coli suşlarının siprofoksasine karşı direnç oranlarının diğer antibiyotiklerlekarşlaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: İdrar kültürlerinden izole edilen 677 E. coli suşu, konvansiyonel yöntemlerile tanımlanmıştır. Antibiyotik duyarlılık testleri Vitek-32 (bioMerieux-France) kullanılarakaraştırılmıştır. Bulgular: 677 E. coli suşunun %29,2’si sifrofoksasine dirençli, % 11’i GenişlemişSpektrumlu Betalaktamaz (GSBL) pozitif olarak bulunmuştur.
Comparison of susceptibility of escherichia coli strains isolated from urinary system infections to ciprofoxacin and other antibiotics
Objective: E.coli causes 90% of urinary system infections. Ciprofoxacin treatment isfrequently preferred for empiric treatment of urinary system infections in adults. Increasein use of this antibiotic has caused increase of resistance rate against this antibiotic inbacteria. It has been aimed in this study to compare resistance rates of E.coli strainsisolated from urine culture against ciprofoxacin with those against other antibiotics. Method: 677 E.coli strain isolated from urine cultures were identifed by conventionalmethods. Antibiotic susceptibility tests have been investigated by using Vitek-32(bioMerieux-France).Results: 29,2% of all 677 E.coli strain have been found to be resistant againstciprofoxacin and 11% to be Extended Spectrum Beta-lactamase (ESBL) positive. 33% of ESBL positive isolates have been found to be resistant against ciprofoxacin. It has been determined that E.coli strains, which were resistant against ciprofoxacin, were 91%, 58%, 42%, 10% and 13% resistant against ampicilline, trimethoprim/ sulphamethoxazol, seftriaxon, amicasin and nitrofurantoin, respectively. However, susceptibility ratio of 677 E.coli strain against ciprofoxacin is 70,8% and it has been found that 2% of thosestrains are ESBL positive. Ciprofoxacin-susceptible E.coli strains have been found to be resistant against ampisilin withthe ratio of 54%, trimethoprim/sulphametoxazol 31%, seftriaxon 2%, nitrofurantoin 3,3% and amicasin 2,5%. A statisticallysignifcant difference has been found for the resistance of ESBL-producing and non-ESBL-producing E.coli strains againstciprofoxacin (p
