Graft infection is the most feared complication after prosthetic infrarenal aortic surgery. A 48-year-old male patient presented with leakage from both femoral sites 17 months after aortobifemoral prosthetic bypass grafting. With a diagnosis of graft infection, the prosthetic graft was totally removed and a new aortobifemoral bypass was performed using an autogenous graft prepared from both superficial femoral veins. On the second postoperative day, acute thrombosis developed in the left popliteal vein and in the distal part of the superficial femoral veins. The patients’ complaints subsided in two days following prophylaxis with low molecular weight heparin, leg elevation, and elastic bandage application. He was discharged on the tenth postoperative day. At the end of a twoyear follow-up, no surgical complications developed and femoral pulses were palpable on both sides. ">
