Irak ve Suriye krizlerinin karşılaştırmalı analizi: Nedenler, gelişmeler, sonuçlar ve Türkiye üzerine etkileri

Irak ve Suriye’de yaşanan olayların nedenleri ve gelişimi birbirinden oldukça farklıdır. Ancak her iki ülkedeki gelişmeler Türkiye’nin güvenliğini doğrudan etkilemesi yönü ile benzerlikler taşımaktadır. Irak’ta yirmi yıldır ve Suriye’de yaklaşık iki yıldır yaşanan gelişmeler Türkiye’nin yaşamsal çıkarlarını doğrudan etkilemektedir. Bu nedenle ABD’nin Birinci ve İkinci Irak Harekâtı ile Arap Baharı kapsamında Suriye’de cereyan eden olayların Türkiye’nin çıkarları açısından karşılaştırmalı bir analizi yapılacaktır. Bu analiz; olguların ortaya çıkış süreci, gelişmelere katkıda bulunan iç ve dış faktörler, Türkiye’nin bölgedeki gelişmelerden etkilenme biçimi şeklinde olacaktır.

A comparative analysis of the Iraq and Syria crisis: Causes, developments, results and the effects on Turkey

The causes and development of events occurred in Iraq and Syria, are quite different from each other. However, the progresses in both countries are similar in aspect of affecting Turkey’s security. The developments in Iraq for twenty years and for nearly two years in Syria have a direct impact on Turkey's vital interests. For this reason, a comparative analysis of the United States’ first and second Operations in Iraq and the events that took place in Syria in context of Arab Spring will be conducted in terms of the Turkey's interests. This analysis includes the process of emergence of cases, internal and external factors that contribute to the developments, and the way of Turkey’s beıng affected by the developments in the region.
