Azerbaycan`ın önemli tarihi bölgelerinden Arran`ın Orta Çağ şehirlerinin su tesisatı sistemleri büyük ilgi gösterir. Arkeolojik araştırmalar zamanı Arran`ın bü- yük sanat ve ticari merkezlerinden olan Gence, Beylegan, Debil, Berde, Torpaggala ve Şemkir arazilerinde IX-XIII y.y`ın başlarına ait çeşitli su tesisatı kalıntıları bulunmuştur. Bu makalede arkeolojik araştırmalar zamanı Arran`ın şehir arazilerinde bulunmuş su tesisatları ve su depoları, su arkları, su kanalları, serimaik borular, yeraltı su, su havzaları-nehirlerden bahsedilmektedir. Su tesisatlarının araştırılması gösterir ki, Orta Çağ Arran şehirleri mükemmel su tesisatı araçlarına sahip olmuş ve söz konusu şehirlerin gelişmesinde büyük etkenlerden olan su tesisatı problemlerinin çözülmesiyle ilgili Orta Çağ su ürünleri mühendisleri büyük çaba göstermişler.

The water supply system of middle age cities of Arran which is one of the important historical territories of Azerbaijan, rouses interest. During the archeological excavations, the remainders of different water supply units of IX- XIII centuries were found in Ganja, Beylagan, Dabil, Barda, Torpaggala and Shamkir city places which were considered the important centers of art and trade of Arran. This assay focuses on water wells and springs, as well as irrigation ditches, channels, earthenware-made pipes and underground water supplies and reservoirs and storage lakes discovered in the cities of Arran during excavations. The investigation of water supply units proved that the middle age cities of Arran had and maintained perfect water supply units and water engineers of that time made great efforts to decide water supply problems as being one of the key reasons for the development of cities
