Antioksidan, diüretik, antidiyabetik, antikanserojen gibi birçok etkiye sahip olan fl avonoitlerin bitki doku kültürü teknikleriyle bitkilerden elde edilmesi günümüzde oldukça popüler bir konudur. Halen geliştirilmekte olan birçok yöntem ile tıbbi bitkilerden biyoaktif maddelerinin endüstriyel boyutlarda üretilmesi, ilaç sanayine katkı sağlanmaktadır. Bu derleme fl avonoitlerin kullanım alanları, bitki doku kültürü yöntemleri, bu yöntemlerle fl avonoitlerin nasıl elde edilebileceği ve verimin artırılması için geliştirilen yöntemleri anlatmaktadır.
