Antananarivo ilçesinde lise öğrencileri arasında genç yaşta gebelik ve kürtaj

Genç yaşta gebelik ve kürtaj fakir ülkelere giderek büyüyen bir sorundur.Üreme sağlığı konusundaki bilgi yetersizliği problemin boyutlarını artırmaktadır. Yöntem: Antananarivo, Madagaskar 'da 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim döneminde 248 öğrenciyle , kamu liseleri, papaz okulları ve özel liselerde bir kesitsel araştırma yapılmıştır. Veriler eğitim-öğretim dönemi üçüncü çeyreğinde. toplanmıştır. Bulgular: kürtaj ve gebelik hakkında yeterli bilgisi olan öğrenci oranı %14 ,%95 CI [10.4-19.5] bulunmuştur. Bilgi kaynağının%60 oranında medya olduğu tespit edilmiştir. öğrencilerin %48'i utanma sebebiyle bakım almamaktadır. Planlanmamış bir gebelik olursa %11'i kürtajı tercih edeceğini belirtmiştir. Gençlerin yaklaşık % 6,5'i genç yaşta doğum problemiyle karşılaşmış. Kızların %9,6 'sı erkeklerin %4,1 i bu durumla karşılaşmış ve vakaların tamamı isteyerek düşükle sonuçlanmıştır. Papaz okullarındaki öğrenciler ve kız öğrenciler cinsellik bilgisi yönünden daha iyi durumdadırlar. Bilgi düzeyi doğum olaylarını anlamlı düzeyde etkilememektedir. Kız öğrenciler erkeklere nazaran genç yaşta gebeliğe daha az eğilimlidirler ancak büyük oranda çapraz yeğen ilişkisi(fratri) çerçevesinde sabit bir erkek arkadaşı olması ebeveynler tarafından teşvik edilmektedir. Sonuç: Küretaj genç gebelik durumunda bir çözüm yolu değildir. Esas olarak genç gebelikler önlenmelidir. Kontrol stratejisi, multidisipliner, multisektörel ve hedeflenmiş bilgi odaklı olmalıdır

Teen pregnancy and abortion among high school students of the urban district of antananarivo

Teen pregnancy and abortion phenomena take an ever-growing magnitude in poor countries. Lack of knowledge about reproductive health could aggravate these problems. Methods: Across-sectional survey has been conducted in public, private and denominational high schools of the urban district of Antananarivo, Madagascar, on a sample of 248 students during schoolyear 2012-2013. Data was collected during the third quarter of the schoolyear. Results: Good knowledge about pregnancy and abortion was found in 14.5%, 95% CI [10.4% -19.5%] of students. The media represent almost 60% of the sources of information. Access to care is limited in 48% of cases by feeling shame. Nearly 11% would resort to abortion if an unplanned pregnancy happens. Nearly 6.5%, 95% CI [3.6% - 10.3%] had teen pregnancy problems: 9.6% of boys and 4.1% of girls came encountered these and all cases have ended in induced abortion among girls. The students from the denominational schools and the female gender have more knowledge of about sexuality. The level of knowledge does not significantly influence pregnancy. Female students (p = 0.07) are less prone to teen pregnancy, whereas dating a fixed boyfriend , a large sibship (p = 0.03) and parents in consensual union (p = 0.02) encourage its occurrence. Conclusions: Abortion does not actually represent a remedy in case of pregnancy. Nevertheless, prevention of teen pregnancy is suggested. The control strategy should be multidisciplinary and multisectoral, and focused on targeted information
