SOSYAL HiZMETTE MÜLAKAT DERSiNiN ÖĞRENCiLERiN EMPATiK ANLAYISINA ETKiSi

Empati müracaatçıların duygu, düşünce ve davranış dünyasına hayali bir giriş olarak düsünülmektedir. Bu nedenle empati sosyal hizmet uzmanlanntn müracaatçllarjyla ilíşkilerinde oldukça önem/idir. Empatide sosyal hizmet uzmanlarl müracaatçının dünyasını sanki kendininmiş gibi hisseder; ancak bu tek bayna yeterli deýildir, çünkü empatik anlayışınmüracaatçılara iletilmesi gereklidir. Bu arastlrma, "Sosyal Hizmette Mülakat Dersi"nin öğrencilerin empatik anlayışlarına etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma verileri Dökmen tarafindan geliştirilen Empatik Beceri (31. çe©i kullamlarak elde edilmiştir. ilk ölçüm-son ölçüm arasndaki farkl belirlemek amacıyla eşleştirilmiş t-testinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Sosyal Hizmette Mülakat Dersini alan öğrencilerin empati düzeyinin anlamlı bir düzeyde arttığı belirlenmiştir.

Effects of social work interview course on the emphatic understanding levels of the students

Empathy is thought to be a consequence of imaginatively entering the client's world of feeling, thinking, and acting, so that it is very important in social workers' relations with the clients. In empathy, social workers feel the client's private world as if it were their own, but it is not enough for being empathic, because empathic understanding of the social workers need to be demonstrated to the clients. The main purpose of this study is to determine the effects of Social Work Interview Course on the empathic understanding levels of the students. A pretest-posttest design was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the course. In order to collect the data Empathic Skills Inventory was administered. Comparisons of pretest-posttest scores were analyzed by using paired sample paired t-tests. This study indicated that empathic understanding levels of the students that attended the Social Work Interview Course increased significantly
