LEZBİYEN GEY BİSEKSÜEL TRANSSEKSÜEL TRAVESTİ BİREYLERLE SOSYAL HİZMET

LGBTT bireyler konusundaki olumsuz tutumlar, bu grubun temel hak ve hizmetlerden yararlanmasını engellemektedir. Heteroseksist kurum politikaları ve yapısal ayrımcılıkta LGBTT’lerin dışlanması sürecine katkı yapmaktadır. Bir ideoloji olarak heteroseksizm ve homofobi LGBTT’lerin toplumdaki varlığını görmezden gelmektedir. LGBTT’lerle çalışan profesyonelledeki önyargı ve homofobi pek çok çalışma ile orta-ya konmuştur. LGBTT’lere yönelik içerici bir sosyal hizmet uygulaması için profesyoneller, eğitimciler ve öğrenciler kendi homofbisiyle yüzleşmelidir. Güçlendirme nosyonu ve özgürleştirici bir değer olarak sosyal adalet LGBTT’lere yönelik sosyal hizmetin içeriğini oluşturmaktadır. Sosyal hizmet eğitimi ve müfredatında LGBTT’lerle ilgili içerik yer almalıdır. Profesyonel uygulamada ayrım karşıtı ve baskı karşıtı sosyal hizmet yaklaşımlarından yararlanılabilir. 

Social Work With Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transsexuals and Transvestites

Negative attitudes about LGBTTs prevents the utilization of basic rights and services by this group. Heterosexist agency policies and structural discrimination also contribute to the exclusion process of LGBTTs. As an ideology, heterosexism and homophobia ignore presence of LGBTTs in the community. Numerous studies showed prejudices and homophobia among professionals working with LGBTTs. For inclusive social work practice with LGBTTs professionals, educators and students should face their own homophobia. Empowerment notion and social justice as an emancipatory value constitute the content of social work with LGBTTs. LGBTT content must be included in social work curriculum and education. Anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive social work practice are major approaches to working with LGBTTs.
