Giriş: Ulusal çekirdek Eğitim programı 2020 tarihinde yenilenmiş (UÇEP-2020) ve Yüksek Öğretim Kurumu tarafından kabul edilerek ülkemizdeki tüm tıp fakültelerine 2021-2022 eğitim döneminden itibaren uygulanması kararı verilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı UÇEP-2020 doğrultusunda Akdeniz Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, program çıktılarının revizyon sürecinin tanıtılmasıdır. Yöntem: UÇEP 2020’nin yayınlanması ile birlikte, Akdeniz Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Program çalışmalarının güncellenmesi işlemi 2020-2021 eğitim döneminde iç paydaşların geniş katılımı ile başlatılmıştır Bulgular: UÇEP 20202’ye göre programın yeterlikleri ve kazanımları yeniden düzenlenmiş, dönem, ders kurulu/staj ve derslerin çıktıları gözden geçirildi. Bazı eksik yeterlikler ve kazanımlar Fakülte yeterlik listesine eklendi. Hazırlanan yeterlik listeleri soru bankasına girildi. Tartışma: Akdeniz Üniversitesi tıp fakültesi mezuniyet çıktıları iç paydaşların geniş katılımı ile gözden geçirilmiştir. Bu sürecin eğitimde hesap verilebilirlik ve kalite güvencesi sürecine katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Deneyimlerimiz, benzer süreci kurumlarında başlatmak isteyen diğer tıp fakülteleri için yol gösterici olabilir.

Background: The National Core Curriculum for undergraduate medical education was updated in 2020 (UÇEP-2020) and approved by Higher Education Council with the decision to apply it in all medical faculties starting from the 2021-2022 academic year. The aim of this study is to introduce the review process of Akdeniz University Faculty of medicine program outcomes. Methods: The process to update Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine Program Outcomes was started subsequent to publication of UCEP 2020 with wide participation of internal stakeholders in the 2020-2021 academic year. Results: According to UÇEP 2020, the competencies and outcomes of each year, clerkship and integrated block were rearranged by matching the current competencies and outcomes of the program with those suggested in the UÇEP 2020. Some missing competencies and outcomes were added into the school’s lists with the approval of the Curriculum Committee. Final version of the competency and outcome lists were embedded into a special software which is also used in the school as a question bank. Discussion: Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine graduation competencies and outcomes of each level in medical education program have been revised with wide participation of internal stakeholders. This process will contribute to the accountability and quality assurance process in medical education in our school of medicine. Our experience may also have a guidance effect on other medical schools who intend to start similar process in their institutions.
