The Effect of Outlet Vent Location on Recovery Time for an Operating Room

In this study, effect of exhaust location on the recovery time for an operating room is investigated numerically. the exhaust location is examined for three configurations as at floor level, ceiling level and both at ceiling and floor level. As contaminants, particles of 0,5 µm diameter are distributed homogeneously to the operating room and the decay processes are compared. It is found that the lowest recovery time is obtained when the exhaust vents in the floor and ceiling level are used together.
