BİLİME VE EĞİTİME ADANMIŞ BİR KARİYER: ÇİĞDEM KAĞITÇIBAŞI

Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı, Türkiye’de psikoloji alanında çalışan araştırmacılar veakademisyenler için başarılarla dolu bir kariyeri ifade etmektedir. Onunkültürlerarası psikoloji yazınına katkıları ve geride bıraktığı eserler alandaki bilimselçalışmalara halen öncülük etmektedir. Özellikle çocuğun değeri çalışmaları ve ailedeğişim modeli, hem kültürlerarası alanda hem de Türkiye’de aile çalışmalarına ışıktutmaktadır. Yalnızca akademik kimliği ile değil sosyal sorumluluk projeleri ile deiçinde yaşadığı topluma önemli katkılarda bulunmuştur. Bu çalışma, 2 Mart 2017tarihinde yaşamını yitiren değerli bilim insanın yaşamına ve çalışmalarına kısa birbakış sunmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.

A CAREER DEDICATED TO SCIENCE AND EDUCATION: ÇİĞDEM KAĞITÇIBAŞI

Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı, represent a succesful career for researchers andacademics working in the field of psychology in Turkey. Her contributions to theliterature of cross-cultural psychology and the works she left behind are stillpioneering scientific studies in the area. Especially, the value of the childrenresearches and the model of family change shed light on the cross-cultural field aswell as family studies in Turkey. Not only with her academic identity but socialresponsibility projects have also contributed significantly to her society. This workwas prepared to provide a brief overview of the life and work of the precious scientistwho lost her life on 2 March 2017.
