EFFECTS OF SPINNING SYSTEM ON YARN PROPERTIES

In this study, thc propenies of yams spun in different spinning systcms wcrccompared in thc light ofthc litcralllrc. Ring, compact, rotor, air-jct, vortcx and friction spinning systcms wcre cvaluated within thc scope ofthc work. Compact, rotor, air-jct, vortcx and friction systems, devcloped in rc£cnt ycars, havc becomc imponant through some advantagcs in yam propertics and production specds. Howevcr, ring spinning is sti!lthe most widcly used systcm and it is also acccptcd 3S thc refcrencc mcthod. A gcncral cvaluation ofthc literalllre may concludc that voncx yarns arc the least hairy, compact yams arc thc most evcn and thc strongest and friction yams have thc best elongation. Furthcrmore, compact yams also havcthc Icast frictioncocfficient valucs.
