Organization of ordered-based weaving mills with simulation modelling technique

The restricted flexible working possibilities are the basic problems in textile weaving mills order-oriented. In order to increase the production and get the orders ready in time, the weaving mills generally focus on the speed and performance of the machines. However, the basic problem lies behind the lack of organization and determining the bottlenecks completely. In this study, a weaving mill which produces fabric based upon orders, has been chosen as a sample, and the current system of this firm has been simulated. After working on the current system, the data have been evaluated, and the bottlenecks have been determined. Thus, alternative system was created instead of current system and alternative system has been compared with the current system. Besides, the improved simulation program can easily estimate the ordered product's delivery date. By this way, it is aimed to give ideas about the optimization of organization and estimate the delivery dates of the orders for the weaving mills having this kind of job flows.
