"Tanrı Barışı Müessesesi" Haçlı Seferlerinin ortaya çıkmasında etkili, dini ve askeri veçheleri olan bir müessesedir. Bazı araştırmacılar buna "Tanrı Barışı Projesi" adını da verirler. Haçlı Seferlerinin düşünce temellerinden biri olan "Tanrı Barışı Müessesesi"nin tesirlerini pek çok tarihi olayda görmek mümkündür.
