Bu araştırmada Nisan 1996-Ekim 1996 tarihleri arasında Porsuk Göletinin bentik alglerinin kompozisyonu, yoğunluğu ve mevsimsel değişimleri incelenmiştir. Porsuk göletinin bentik alg topluluğunda Bacillariophyta bölümüne ait algler hakim olmuştur. Bentik alg topluluğunda toplam 109 taksa belirlenmiştir. Bu taksanın 90'ı epipelik alg topluluğunda olup %61'ini Bacillariophyta, %22'ni Chlorophyta, %11'ini Cyanophyta ve %6'sını Euglenophyta üyeleri oluşturmuştur. Toplulukta, Navicula salınanım Grun., Cymbella ventricosa Kütz., Synedra demerarae Grun., Cymatopleura solea (Breb.) W. Smith'ya bol olarak rastlanmıştır, ilkbahar ve sonbahar dönemlerinde florada artış gözlenmiştir.

In this research, the composition, density and seasonal variations of the benthic algae of Porsuk pond were studied from April 1996 to October 1996. Bacillariophyta were dominant group in the benthic algal communities. In pond, 109 taxa were identified and 90 from them were composed of epipelic algae. The percentages of algal groups were as follows: Bacillariophyta 61%, Chlorophyta 22%, Cyanophyta 11% and Euglanophyta 6%. Navicula salınanım Orun., Cymbella ventricosa Kütz., Synedra demerarae Grun., Cymatopleura solea (Breb.) W.Smith were abundant in the benthic algal communities. In spring and autumn periods, an increase of flora was observed.
