İzmir Körfezi (Ege Denizi)'nde Corycaeidae (Copepoda) familyası türlerinin dağılımı üzerine ilk gözlemler

Çalışmada Corycaeidae familyasına ait türlerin bölgemizdeki dağılımı araştırılmıştır. Araştırma materyali, izmir Körfezi'nin dış, orta ve yoğun kirlilik etkisi altındaki iç körfez bölgelerinden vertikal örnekleme yardımıyla elde edilmiştir. Copepoda içerisinde düşük bollukta gözlenen bu familyadan 7 türe rastlanmıştır. (Coryaceus clausi, C. limbatus, C. typicus, C. giesbrechti, C. brehmi, C. furcifer, Corycella rostrata) Izmir Körfezi'nde geniş bir yayılış gösteren familyanın özellikle körfezin dış kesimlerinde iyi temsil edildiği, iç körfeze doğru kalitatif ve kantitatif yönden fakirleştiği saptanmıştır. Çalışmada bulunan C. limbatus Türkiye kıyılarında ilk kez kaydedilmiştir.

A preliminary study on the distrübution of the species of the family Corycaeidae (Copepoda) in Izmir Bay (Aegean Sea)

In this research, the distribution of the members of the family Corycaeidae in Izmir Bay was examined. The research material was collected by vertical samplings at stations selected from the outer, middle and the inner section of Izmir Bay, where the shallow inner bay is impacted by dense pollution. Seven species (Corycaeus clausi, C. limbatus, C. typicus, C. giesbrechti, C. brehmi, C. furcifer, Corycella rostrata) were determined belonging to family Corycaeidae, which is represented by a lower abundance among Copepoda. Species of the family Corycaeidae is widely spread throughout the Izmir bay. The family is represented well at the outer bay, but decreases in quantity and quality through the inner bay. C. limbatus, collected during the research, is recorded for the first time from the Turkish coasts.
