Biyotelemetri ve balıkçılıkta kullanımı
Elektronik alanda yaşanan gelişmeler bilginin kablosuz olarak aktarılmasına imkan tanıyan "telemetri tekniğinin" ortaya çıkmasını sağlamıştır. Telemetri tekniğinin karasal ve sucul ekosistemlerde yaşayan canlıların izlenmesinde kullanılması "biyotelemetri" olarak isimlendirilmiştir. Temel olarak radyo ve akustik telemetri olarak iki alt bölüme ayrılan telemetri tekniği, özellikle balık stoklarının dağılımlarının belirlenmesi, hayatta kalma oranlarının tespiti, göç davranışlarının ve yollarının ortaya çıkarılmasında etkin bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Klasik yöntemlere göre balık popülasyonlarının araştırılmasında çok daha etkili sonuçların elde edildiği telemetri tekniğinin balıkçılık araştırmalarında kullanımı her geçen gün artmaktadır. Bu çalışmada telemetri tekniğinin tarihsel gelişimi, çalışma prensibi, balıkçılıkta kullanım alanları, kullanılan markalar ve markalama teknikleri üzerinde durulmuştur.
Biotelemetry and usage in fishing
Development in electronics field led to emergence of "telemetry technique", which is based on wireless transfer of information. Monitoring with telemetry techniques of organisms living in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems has been named "Biotelemetry". Telemetry, which is classified into radio and acoustic subfields, can be used to determine fish stock distributions, mortality rates of fishes, migration behavior and paths. The use of telemetri technique that provides better results than traditional ones for fish population research is increasing day by day. In this study, historical development of biotelemetry, the working principles, the usage in fishing, used brands and the tagging techniques have been explained.
