Depolama, Dondurma ve Çözdürmenin Anne Sütüne Etkileri

Anne sütü; içerdiği vitamin, mineral, protein, karbonhidrat ve lipitlerin miktarı, özellikle biyoyararlanımının üstünlüğü ile bebeklerin tüm gereksinimlerini ilk altı ay tek başına karşılayabilen mucizevi bir besindir. Anne sütünün bebeklere taze olarak verilmesi önerilmektedir. Ancak bazı durumlarda saklanmış anne sütü vermekte gerekebilmektedir. Anne sütünün uygun saklanması, dondurulması ve çözdürülmesi sütün besleyicilik ve immünolojik özelliklerinin korunabilmesi için önemli bir konudur. Bu derlemenin amacı anne sütünün depolanması, dondurulması ve çözdürülmesinin anne sütüne etkilerini, konuya dair güncel literatür doğrultusunda incelemek ve öneriler sunmaktır.

The Effects of Storage, Freezing and Thawing on Breast Milk

Breast milk alone, with its high vitamin, mineral, protein, carbohydrate and lipid content and particularly due to its superior bioavailability, is a miraculous source of nutrition that can fulfil the needs of a baby for the first six months of his/her life. It is recommended to feed the babies on fresh breast milk. However, in some cases, it may be necessary to give stored breast milk. To preserve the nutritional and immunologic features of breast milk, it is of high importance to store, freeze and thaw it properly. The aim of this review is to investigate how storing, freezing and thawing affect breast milk in accordance with the literature and to provide relevant advice.
