Use of a Web-based Adapted Physical Education Consultant Model to Increase the On-Task Attention and Response of a Student with Autism in an Inclusionary Class: An Exploratory Investigation

Adapted physical educators are searching formore effective strategies to provide effectiveand efficient consultative services to generalphysical educators who are teaching in inclu- sionary classes. The number of consultationshas been increasing with more students with dis- abilities being placed in general physical educa- tion classes. Many of these students have beenclassified as autistic and emotionally disturbedand who exhibit severe behavior disorders (La- vay, French, & Henderson, 2007; Rose & Gallup,2004).
