DOĞRUDAN ATIF, ORTAK ATIF VE BİBLİYOGRAFİK EŞLEŞME YAKLAŞIMLARINA DAYALI OLARAK ARAŞTIRMA ALANLARININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Bilimin kendi içinde, önceki çalışmaları dayanak alarak büyüyen kümülatif bir yapısı vardır. Bu nedenle ortaya konulan bilimsel bir çalışmanın kaynaklarının, ulaşılabilir, kontrol edilebilir ve ölçülebilir olması için yararlanılan kaynağa ait bibliyografik bileşenlerin eksiksiz aktarılması bilginin bilimselliğinin bir gereğidir. Bu çalışma kapsamında bilgi kaynaklarına niceliksel metodların uygulanması işlemi olan bibliyometri terimi açıklandıktan sonra atıf ilişkisinde üç temel yaklaşım olan doğrudan atıf, ortak atıf ve bibliyografik eşleşme ilişkileri betimlenmiş ve büyük bir hızla artan bilimsel bilginin analiz edilerek görselleştirilmesini sağlayan bibliyometrik haritaların önemi üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışma kapsamında bibliyometrik haritalamada kullanılan görselleştirme araçlarından VOSviewer, CitNetExplorer ve HistCite programları karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın son basamağında atıf ilişkisinde üç temel yaklaşımı kullanarak analiz yapan araştırma makalelerinin genel bir değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Literatür değerlendirmesi sonucunda farklı bilim alanlarını değerlendiren çalışmalarda kullanılan; doğrudan atıf, dergi ve yazar ortak atıf ve doküman bibliyografik eşleşme yöntemlerinin birbirlerini farklı açılardan desteklediği ve tamamladığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

EVOLUTION of RESEARCH SUBJECTS BASED on DIRECT CITATION, COCITATION and BIBLIOGRAPHICAL COUPLING APPROACHES

In itself, science has a cumulative structure that is growing on the basis of previous studies. The complete transfer of the bibliographic components of the utilized sourced is a requirement of the scientific knowledge, to ensure the accessiblity, controllablity and measurablity of a scientific study’s sources.within the scope of this study, after the bibliometry term,which is the process of applying quantitative methods to the information sources, is explained; the three main approaches, direct citation, co-citation and bibliographical coupling are described. Then the importance of bibliometric maps, which provide the visualization of the scientific knowledge that has been growing rapidly, has been emphasized. A comparative evaluation of VOSviewer, CitNetExplorer and HistCite programs was performed in the visualization tools used in bibliometric mapping. In the last step of the study, a general evaluation of the research studies using three basic approaches was made. As a result of the literature review used in studies evaluating different fields of science; it has been concluded that direct citation, journal and author citation and document bibliographic mapping methods support and complement each other from different perspectives.
