Otto Neurath’ın Eğitimciliğinde Viyana Çevresi Düşüncesinin Etkileri
Bu yazı, Viyana Çevresi’nin ünlü düşünürlerinden, ekonomist ve eğitimci Otto Neurath’ın görsel eğitim alanına getirdiği yenilikleri konu alacaktır. Neurath, kuramsal düzlemde “bilimsel dünya görüşü”nün savunucusu olmanın yanı sıra, Kızıl Viyana döneminde halk eğitiminde aktif bir rol oynamış, yayınları ve belediyenin bünyesinde kurup yönettiği Toplum ve Ekonomi Müzesi’nde düzenlediği sergilerle bilimsel okuryazarlığın artırılmasına katkıda bulunmuştur. Bu yazıda, ortağı Marie Reidemeister ile geliştirdiği görselleştirme yöntemi ISOTYPE’ın öyküsünü ve ana hatlarını ele alıyoruz.
