Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kurulduğu yıllarda başını ağrıtan en büyük sorun sınırlarına yığılançok sayıda muhacirin iskân faaliyetlerinin gerçekleştirilmesi olmuştur. Henüz kurulandevlet, bir taraftan sınırları içerisindeki halkının içinde bulunduğu zor şartları ortadan kaldırmaya,diğer taraftan da sınırları içerisine aldığı ırkdaşlarının yerleştirilmeleri için çalışmalarabaşlamıştır. Ekonomik olarak kalkınmanın sağlanması durumunda mevcut birçok sorununortadan kalkacağının farkında olan dönemin idarecileri bu süreçte hem vatandaşlarına vehem de göçmenlere yönelik politikaları uygulamaya koymuş ve insanlarını bir an evvel üreticiduruma getirebilmek için 100 milyon liradan fazla harcama yapmıştır. Bu süreçte sırf bu işleriçin Mübadele, İmar ve İskân Vekâleti kurulmuş ve Türkiye genelinde İmar ve İskân mıntıkalarıoluşturmuştur. Bu araştırmamızda söz konusu dönemde oluşturulan İskân mıntıkalarındanbir tanesi olan Dokuzuncu İskân Mıntıkası’nın kapsadığı yerler, buralarda çalışan kadrolarile bunların görevleri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır

The biggest problem that the Republic of Turkey faced during the first years of its existence were the settlement of the many immigrants who crowded up at the borders. The newly established state tried at the one hand to improve the severe conditions of its own folk and on the other to settle the immigrants of the same race. The adminstrators of those days, aware of the fact that the many problems would dissolve by itself if the economy would flourish, have implemented their policies in order to make their own folks and the immigrants producers as soon as possible and spent more than 100 million Turkish Lira for this purpose. Throughout this process, only for the realisation of these particular aims, mandatories for exchange, public works and housing were established and throughout Turkey terrains for public work and housing were created. The present study aims to determine the area of the Ninth Settlement Terrain, the tables of cadres and their responsibilities within this terrain.
