İncelediğimiz Şer’iyye Sicili, Niğde-Bor bölgesinin, OsmanlıOrdusu’nun ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasında önemli bir rolü olduğunu göstermektedir. Bununla birlikte, incelenen kayıtlardan OsmanlıDevleti’nin gerileme sürecinin hızlandığınıortaya koyan ciddi problemlerin varlığıda anlaşılmaktadır. Çalışmamızda, bu bağlamda, Niğde-Bor bölgesinin vereceği askeri nitelikli vergiler, hazırlanmasıgereken güherçile miktarıve bununla ilgili problemler ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Özellikle, Fransız generali Napolyon Bonapart’ın Mısır’ıişgal edip Suriye’ye ilerlemek istemesi üzerine sefer hazırlıklarıyla ilgili olarak, OsmanlıEyalet Ordusu için Niğde-Bor bölgesinin göndereceği asker sayısıve ordunun ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasıiçin devlet tarafından satın alınmak üzere hazırlanmasıistenilen koyun, bulgur, arpa, saman vb. miktarlarıbelirlenmiştir.

The Şer’iyye Register that we examined shows that Niğde-Bor region had an important role in meeting the needs of the Ottoman Army. Nevertheless, presence of serious problems, which clarified that the regression process of the Ottoman State has accelerated, is understood from the registers. In this context, in our study, military taxes that has to be paid and the amount of güherçile that has to be prepared by Niğde-Bor region and the problems related to these subjects are revealed. Particularly, owing to that French General Napoleon Bonaparte invaded Egypt and then intended to invade Syria, pertaining to war preparations, the number of soldiers that will be sent by Niğde-Bor region for the Ottoman Province Army and the amounts of sheep, bulgur, barley, straw etc. which will be bought by the state from that region in order to meet the needs of the soldiers are determined.
