Bilimsel düşüncenin ilk iki bin yıllık sürecinde kuramsal açıklamanın temeli basit deneylere ve sezgiye dayanmıştır. Teknolojik imkânlar geliştikçe ve gözlemleyebildiğimiz fenomenlerin alanları genişledikçe doğanın gündelik deneyimlerden ve dolayısıyla sezgilerimizden oldukça farklı işlediği anlaşılmıştır. Klasik bilimin dışında kalan, ancak kuantum fiziği ile açıklanabilen fenomenler, aynı zamanda dramatik sanatlarda olayların kurgulanması, biçimlendirilmesi ve çözümlenmesi üzerine de yeni yöntemler ve yaklaşımlar sunmuştur. Estetik ifade araçlarından biri olarak sahne sanatları da yer yer anlatım biçimlerini bu tür yenilikçi bakış açılarıyla şekillendirerek, yazan, okuyan ve oynayan insan için zamanı, uzayı, evreni gözlemleyebileceği ve anlayabileceği farklı kapılar aralamaktadır. Buradan yola çıkarak ilgili çalışmada, uluslararası tiyatro alanında başarı göstermiş, İskoç oyun yazarı David Greig’in 1999 yılında kaleme aldığı “Kozmonot’un Bir Zamanlar Eski Sovyetler Birliği’nde Âşık Olduğu Kadına Gönderdiği Son Mesaj” adlı oyun metninin kuantum fiziği yasaları üzerinden okunması ve ilgili alanla bağlantılarının saptanması üzerine odaklanılmıştır. Ele alınan bu oyun metninde olay dizisi ve oyun karakterleri üzerine yapılan çözümlemeler, kuantum mekaniği kapsamında sunulan deneyler ve modellemeler ile bağdaştırılmıştır. Bu şekilde tiyatro sahnesinde canlandırılmak üzere kaleme alınan bir oyun metninin, alışılagelmiş insan algısı ölçeklerinden çıkıp zaman/mekân bağlantılarında kırılmalar yaratıp, olaylar zincirini üç boyutlu uzay çerçevesinde biçimlendirmesi gözlemlenmiştir.

In the first two thousand years of scientific thought, the basis of theoretical explanation was based on simple experiments and intuition. As technological possibilities develop and the fields of phenomena that we can observe expand, it has been understood that nature operates quite differently from our daily experiences and therefore from our intuitions. Phenomena that are outside of classical science but can be explained by quantum physics have also offered new methods and approaches on the editing, shaping and analysis of events in dramatic arts. As one of the means of aesthetic expression, the performing arts also form different ways of observing and understanding time, space and the universe for the person who writes, reads and plays by shaping the expression forms with such innovative perspectives from time to time. From this point of view, in this study, reading the text of the play titled “The Cosmonaut’s Last Message to the Woman He Once Loved in the Former Soviet Union”, written in 1999 by the Scottish playwright David Greig, who has been successful in the field of international theater, through the laws of quantum physics and focused on the determination of its connections with the relevant field. In this theater play, analysis on the storyline and game characters are associated with the experiments and models presented within the scope of quantum mechanics. In this way, it has been observed that the text of a play, which was written to be performed on stage, leaves the usual scales of human perception, creates breaks in time/space connections, and shapes the chain of events within the framework of three-dimensional space.
