Margul bu makalede, Hint alt kıtasında kadim dönemlerden beri varlığını sürdüren inek kültü hakkında teolojik ve sosyolojik bilgiler vermektedir. Öncelikle, Hindistan’daki inek kültünün sadece “zebu” adı verilen hörgüçlü boğaya has olduğunu belirtir ve bu kültün Hinduizm’deki yerini açıklar. Ardından Hinduların tıpkı anneleri gibi tazim gösterdiği bu inek türünün mağduriyetine ilişkin belgeler ortaya koyar. Margul son olarak, Hint hükümetinin sığırlar hakkında aldığı kararları ve Hinduların bu kararlara yönelik tepkilerini yorumlar.

In this article, Margul theologically and sociologically informs about worship of the cow that had contiuned its existence since ancient ages in the Indian sub-continent. Firstly, he expresses that the cow cult in India only pertains to hulman ape (pithecus entellus) which is called as “zebu” and explains position of this cult in Hinduism. Afterwards, he adduces the proofs about victimization of this species of cow which Hindus venerate as their mother. Lastly, Margul comments decisions of Indian Government with regard to cows and reactions of Hindus to it
