Stratejik planlar kamu sektörü için zorunlu, özel sektör için özendirici mahiyettedir. Stratejik planlamanyn ilk a?amasyny durum analizi olu?turmaktadyr. Sa?lykly bir durum analizi için de bazy analiz tekniklerine ihtiyaç bulunmaktadyr. PEST (Politik, Ekonomik, Sosyal, Teknoloji) Analizi, örgütün politik, ekonomik, sosyal ve teknolojik yönlerden incelenerek, önemli ve hemen harekete geçirilmesi gerekenleri tespit etmek ve bazy faktörlere göre olumlu veya olumsuz etkilerini ortaya çykarmak için yapylan bir analizdir. Bu çaly?mada, F.Ü.E?itim Fakültesinin PEST Analizi betimsel bir modelde, nitel ara?tyrma tekni?i ile ara?tyrylmy?tyr. Bu amaçla Fyrat Üniversitesi E?itim Fakültesi'nde görev yapan 12 akademik ve 2 idari personelle görü?me yapylarak, bilgi toplanmy?tyr. Bilgi toplama aracy olarak yary yapylandyrylmy? görü?me formu kullanylmy?tyr. Toplanan veriler betimsel ve içerik analiz yöntemine göre analiz edilmi?tir. Ara?tyrma sonucunda Politik yönden; karar alma ve katylym, personel görü?lerinin karara yansytylmasy; Ekonomik yönden; fakültenin kendine ait bir döner sermayesinin olmasy, ek mali kaynak olu?turulmasy; Sosyal yönden: iç ve dy? çevredeki birimler arasynda yeterli ileti?imin sa?lanmasy; Teknolojik yönden: mevcut teknolojinin beklentilere yakyn bir durumda oldu?u, ancak geli?tirilmesi gerekti?i sonucuna ula?ylmy?tyr.

Nowadays, the understanding of continously changing environment, technology, competition forces the organizations to think strategically and to decide very fast. Strategic plans take the place of long term plans. Strategic plans are compulsory for public sector and incentive for private sector. The first stage of strategic planning is the status analysis. Some analysis tecniques are needed for a healthy status analysis. PEST (Political, Echonomic, Social, Technologic) Analysis is an analysis which is applied to define the ones which are important and necessary to activate immediately and to reveal their positive or negative affects according to some factors by In this study, the PEST Analysis of F. U. Faculty of Education has been searched with qualitative research technique in depictive model. Therefore, information has been collected by interviewing with 12 academic and 2 administrative personnel that work in the Faculty of Education in Fyrat University. As a means of collecting information, semi-structured interview forms have been used. The findings that were collected from the participants under the titles of PEST have been analysed according to the depictive and qualitative analysis methods and tranferred to PEST Analysis table. As a result of the study, in terms of politics; that making decision and participation, team's view is reflected to the decision; in terms of economics; that the faculty has got its own a revolving funds, structuring additional financial resources; in terms of socialibty; that the sufficient communication between internal and external units is provided, in terms of technology; that the current technology is near to the expected ones but it must be improved has been reached.
